JULIA DAHEE HONG

Sky’s The Limit
Photographed against clear blue skies, the figures presented in Julia Dahee Hong’s photographic installation are all gloriously gulping green, red, blue or yellow liquids. As they tilt their heads back and squeeze the plastic of their aerodynamic bottles to receive the semi-florescent nectar, they exult in fulfilment and serenity. These people are proactive, fit, often White, full of willpower, and ready to conquer the world, one app at a time, one gym pass after another. Despite their day jobs spent behind computer screens, their bodies are still strong and efficient as Stakhanov heroes. Whether you are into green, red, blue or yellow, come and join us in our march towards a greater life – the sky is the limit.
